The big FiveM anticheat comparison of 2026
Electron Anticheat, FiveGuard, FiniAC, Reaper, WaveShield and the free FIREAC side by side: what do you get for your money, and what can you actually verify?
Every FiveM anticheat calls itself the best. But there's no independent, public test of detection rates. So we looked at what you can verify: which features are documented, what your staff can do with it, how the pricing works and how open the developer is.
The short version
- Electron Anticheat: the best all-round package. Broad detection, the strongest staff tools in the comparison (session replay, live map, multiple screens at once) and, according to the developer, ready for both Legacy and Enhanced. Its live counter shows almost 10,000 protected servers, and at €149.99 for the first year it's also keenly priced. Read the in-depth review.
- FiveGuard: the best value for money. €125 gets you a lifetime licence with the full package. Biggest downside: no support for GTA V Enhanced yet.
- FiniAC: the most configurable platform, with TrustScore, MultiStream and an API. You do pay every month, and the key features sit in the more expensive tiers.
- Reaper: strong on evidence, with a video of every detection. Do check the permissions the resource asks for.
- WaveShield: good public documentation, but the site was behind a bot check during our research, so this is a provisional verdict.
- FIREAC: the best free option and open source, but with basic detection.
What we look at
We score four areas: features (what's documented), staff tools (panel, monitoring, evidence), price/value and transparency. If we can't verify something, it gets no score rather than a guess. If two anticheats end up with the same overall score, staff tools decide: in practice, what your moderators can do with an anticheat matters most.
server.cfg and server-side checks, no anticheat will reach its full potential. Start with our convar guide.Three warnings that apply to every anticheat
- Only buy from the official developer. Cheap copies and "source code" versions show up on resale sites. They come without support, and often with a backdoor.
- Think about GDPR. Player profiles, shared ban lists and screen recordings are personal data. State in your server rules what you collect.
- Marketing numbers aren't test results. "99.9% detection" or "#1 anticheat" is what the developer says. Ask for a demo and test on a dev server.
